About the wave soldering temperature of the buzzer
2023-11-09
  • The buzzer often encounters the issue of welding temperature, so what is the peak welding temperature? The temperature of wave soldering generally refers to the preheating temperature of wave soldering and the welding temperature of wave soldering. What is the welding temperature of wave soldering, which is commonly consulted online? FBelec will share and explain the two temperatures of wave soldering here.

  • 1. Buzzer wave soldering preheating temperature:

    A. The "preheating temperature" is generally set at 90-110 degrees, and the "temperature" mentioned here refers to the actual heating temperature of the PCB board welding surface after preheating, rather than the "surface temperature"; If the preheating temperature does not meet the requirements, it is easy to have a lot of residual solder, tin beads, and tin pulling.

    B. There are several factors that affect the preheating temperature, such as the thickness of the PCB board, the walking speed, and the length of the preheating zone.

B1. The thickness of the PCB is related to a series of issues such as heat absorption and conduction when the PCB is heated. If the PCB is thin, it is prone to heating and causes the "part surface" of the PCB to heat up quickly. If there are components that are not heat-resistant to impact, the preheating temperature should be appropriately lowered; If the PCB is thick, the "welding surface" will not quickly transmit heat to the "part surface" after being absorbed, and such boards can undergo higher preheating temperatures.

B2. Walking speed: In general, it is recommended to set the walking speed at a speed of 1.1-1.2 meters/minute, but this is not a correct value; If you want to change the walking speed, it is usually necessary to cooperate with changing the preheating temperature; For example, to accelerate the board walking speed, in order to ensure that the preheating temperature of the PCB welding surface can reach the predetermined value, the preheating temperature should be appropriately increased.

B3. Length of preheating zone: The length of the preheating zone affects the preheating temperature. When debugging different wave soldering machines, the impact of this on preheating should be considered; When the preheating zone is long, the temperature can be adjusted closer to the actual temperature of the desired board surface; If the preheating zone is short, the predetermined temperature should be increased accordingly.

  • 2. buzzer Wave soldering furnace temperature:

Taking the use of 63/37 tin bars as an example, generally speaking, the temperature of the tin liquid should be adjusted between 245-255 degrees, and should not exceed 260 degrees as much as possible, as the new tin liquid will accelerate the production of its oxides when the temperature is above 260 degrees. The conveyor speed is set according to different wave soldering machines and the situation of the PCB to be welded (usually 0.8-1.92m/min).
