RF Air Core Inductors
When high-frequency current passes through a air coil, a changing magnetic field is generated around it, which in turn generates self induced electromotive force inside the coil, thereby hindering the change of current. Due to the absence of a magnetic core in RF high-frequency air core inductors, their inductance value is relatively low, but they can adapt well to the transmission requirements of high-frequency signals.
Air core inductor is one of the common inductive components in the field of electrical engineering. It is mainly composed of thin copper wires or other conductive wires wound around an insulating tube, forming an air coil like structure with a cylindrical shape. The working principle of RF air core inductors is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction.

Apply different inductors in different situations
Surface mount type (SMD air core inductors): With the trend of miniaturization and integration of electronic products, surface mount inductors have been widely used due to their advantages such as small size, light weight, and ease of automated production. RF hollow core inductors also have surface mount products, which are convenient for layout and installation in high-frequency circuits.
Low-loss air core inductors: characterized by not containing iron cores or other magnetic materials, only made by winding wires, and using air as the magnetic medium. This type of inductor has a wide range of applications in high-frequency circuits, especially in situations where low loss, high Q value (quality factor), and good self resonant characteristics are required.
Power air core inductors: Its characteristic is that it does not rely on iron cores or other magnetic materials, and is only made by winding wires in air. This type of inductor has unique application value in power electronics, RF communication, audio amplification and other occasions that require processing high-power signals.
