RF Coax Cables
Pasternack RF cables category includes 86 different cable types, most of which are RoHS and REACH compliant. Our coaxial and twinaxial cable is designed to precise RF industry specifications and is available in 84 coax and 2 twinax versions. Pasternack coaxial cable can be ordered in 50 Ohm, 52 Ohm, 53 Ohm, 75 Ohm, 93 Ohm or 95 Ohm impedance and our twinax cable in 100 Ohm or 78 Ohm impedance designs. Coax cables, as well as twinaxial cables, can be purchased with double, single or triple shielding.
RF twinax and coax cables are built in low loss and standard performance versions, ranging in size from 0.020 to 0.945 inches in diameter. FBelec RF cables in coax or twinax designs may be available in corrugated, flexible, formable or semi-rigid versions. Size and construction materials of the coaxial or twinaxial cable determine flexibility and bend radius; some cables have a minimum one time bend radius. A variety of core dielectric materials including AIR/FEP, FEP, Foam PE, PE (A), PE (AS), PE (F), PE (S), PTFE, PTFE (LD) or PTFE (S) versions result in a wide range of performance characteristics. Our twinax and coax cables are designed to handle a wide range of performance criteria including attenuation, temperature, voltage, and RF power.
Coax types for FBelec RF cables include: RG108/U, RG11/U, RG122/U, RG141/U, RG142/U, RG174/U, RG178/U, RG179/U, RG180/U, RG187/U, RG188/U, RG188-DS, RG196/U, RG213/U, RG214/U, RG216/U, RG217/U, RG218/U, RG219/U, RG223/U, RG225/U, RG302/U, RG303/U, RG316/U, RG316-DS, RG393/U, RG400/U, RG401/U, RG402/U, RG405/U, RG55/U, RG58/U, RG58-P, RG59/U, RG59-P, RG62/U, RG6/U, RG6-CATV, RG71/U, RG8/U, RG8X and Pasternack specific RF cable.
Our manufacturing facility certified to ISO 9001:2015 ships RF cables in coax and twinax the same day from the deepest, broadest inventory of microwave and RF components available. Exceptional customer service and technical support are on hand to support our customers.
RF coaxial connector consists of main name code and structure code, separated by short horizontal line "-". Main name code the main name code of RF connector adopts the international general main name code. The naming of different structural forms of specific products is specified in the detailed specification, and the structural form represents the structure of RF connector. RF twinax and coax cables.
Main specifications of IPEX and SMA cable
Impedance: almost all RF connectors and cables are standardized to an impedance of 50 Ω. The only exception is generally 75 Ω system, which is usually used for cable TV installation. It is also an important RF coaxial cable connector with matching cable characteristic impedance. If not, a discontinuity is introduced and loss may result.
VSWR (voltage standing wave ratio): ideally, Rf Assemblies should be unity. Good design and implementation can keep VSWR below 1.2 in the range of interest.
Frequency range: now most RF work in the range of 1 to 10GHz, so the connector must have low loss in this area. For cases above 10 GHz - there is a lot of work now in the 10 to 40 GHz range - there are newer connectors to choose from. They are expensive because it is the cable itself.
Insertion loss: This is the connector loss in the frequency range of interest. Losses are usually between 0.1 and 0.3 dB. Determining how critical per watt (or fractional Watt) is in most designs, even such a small loss must be minimized and included in the link loss budget. It is especially important when the signal strength and signal-to-noise ratio are low.RF coax
Operating cycle: how many connection / disconnection cycles can be connected and withstand and still meet their specifications? This is usually in 500 or 1000 cycles. For threaded connectors, the tightening torque specified by the supplier is an important factor in maintaining performance and reliability.
Power: power processing is determined by two resistance losses (heating) and insulation breakdown. Although even decades of design has been mainly pre-processing tens of watts, today's design community focuses on low-power devices, such as mobile phones, Pico cellular and millipico cellular base stations, video interfaces, RF and gadgets. These are in the sub 1W range, so the connector can be much smaller and its power rating is a smaller constraint.
