When the button is not pressed, the moving contact is connected to the stationary contact on top, and this pair of contacts is called a normally closed contact. At this point, the moving contact is disconnected from the stationary contact below, and this pair of contacts is called normally open contacts: press the button, the normally closed contact is disconnected, and the normally open contact is closed; Release the button and restore the original working state under the action of the reset spring.
1. Reset button switch
A reset button switch refers to a button switch that needs to be pressed and then released to turn on or off the circuit. That is to say, every time the button is pressed, the switch automatically returns to its original position, so it is called a "reset type". Generally used in situations where frequent switch control is required, it has the following characteristics:
Trigger method: It needs to be pressed and then released to trigger.
Application field: Suitable for situations that require switch control within a certain period of time, such as emergency shutdown, prevention of misoperation, etc.
Advantages: Simple operation, stable performance, and long lifespan.
Disadvantage: Not suitable for situations that require constant opening or closing, such as electric doors, lights, etc.
2. Self locking button switch
A self-locking button switch refers to a button switch that can open or close a circuit with just one press, without the need to press it again to return to its original position, hence it is called a "self-locking". Generally used in situations where it is necessary to maintain an open/closed state, it has the following characteristics:
Trigger method: Just press once to trigger.
Application field: Suitable for situations that require continuous opening/closing, such as electric doors, circuit breakers, etc.
Advantages: Strong flexibility, suitable for long-term use.
Disadvantages: The operation is relatively complex and requires more electronic components, resulting in higher requirements for the circuit.
